Here is what I walked away with today in my OWNit365.com readings:
- God often calls people to work together to reach an area which is far larger than any one person can reach (Josh 19:9)
- JESUS is our "city of refuge" where we can run for shelter. JESUS is the "high priest" whose death frees us. (Josh 20:6)
- No matter what you face – the roller coaster of life – remember that God will keep EVERY promise He's made (Josh 21:45)
- The knowledge of God is available to anyone who pursues God's word with intentionality (Pro 2:5)
- God directs people who do 3 things: (1) Trust God. (2) Stop trusting yourself. (3) Ask God for direction. (Pro 3:5-6)
Life is full of roller coasters full of ups and downs. I have been on one for some time now. The thing that keeps me going is God. Knowing that this somehow is a part of a bigger picture that we often can’t see is what trusting in God is all about. That is why it is called “Faith”. It is this “faith”, “trust in the Lord” that keeps me going. When we pray and petition to God, for me, I must remember that it is all answered in “His time”. Sometimes is helps to share with others, put ourselves out there. I don’t know how many people read this blog or are afraid to put themselves out there. I have made many mistakes. I am a sinner . . . thankfully forgiven each day by grace. I am a single mom, financially struggling. I have rheumatoid arthritis. My daughter has a learning disability. She is dyslexic, pretty severe. So I work with her at home what at times seem to be endless hours. I returned back to school to pursue a dream of having a certificate in pastry and baking. I will graduate in May, but because of the arthritis being so active at the moment, this will probably keep me from seeking full time employment. My daughter’s dad lives on the road, traveling for leisure. Without the help from my parents and God I couldn’t do this. I have to include my parents because we live them. They do so much for me already and asking them for additional help is out of the question. So for those readers who may be struggling just know that God is always there. He truly is the one that allows me to wake each day and work through life. He never promised an easy road, but He promises to always be with us on that road no matter what . . . just like He has since the beginning of time. I thank the Lord each day for Grace Church. I am so thankful and continue to be blessed by the Ownit365.com Bible reading plan. God bless everyone, especially during the Easter Season.
