Back on Oct 14, our weekend services were built around an incredible drama called LIFE.  Check it out here.

In the build-up toward that day, our Worship Pastor experimented with some creativity and created a blog under the main character’s name that his wife updated.

That act captured what I love about leading: (1) giving freedom to lead, (2) using creativity, (3) experimenting & taking risks.  AWESOME JOB guys!

Afterwards, I received this email from a good friend (which I asked permission to post):

Hey Tim:

I had to write and quickly tell you what happened this weekend.  [My wife] occasionally reads your blog and was fascinated by the life of Emily blog you mentioned.  Here’s the thing – she didn’t realize that it was part of the Life drama you guys were doing and so when she read it on Sunday and saw that she had been killed in a car wreck she started to cry over the loss of her life.  I felt so bad for her.  She didn’t believe me when I told her it was part of the Life drama.  Finally, she came to grips with it and said, “oh man, that’s pretty cool what they did!”

Talk to you soon.
