Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html

First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.

Then, read Psalm 69.

Then, write down something you can apply to your life.

Then, read what I wrote:

 - Historical — David writes a psalm to ask God to protect him from him sin (which God knows), situation (like trying to stand in muck), and reproach (from people he’s tried to reconcile with).

 - Doctrinal — God is more pleased when we praise God from our hearts than simply give Him stuff (verses 30-33).

 - Inspirational — I need to embrace the fact that following God does not mean I won’t feel overwhelmed, terribly sad, and alone: those feelings are meant to draw me to God.
