Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html

First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.

Then, read Nehemiah 4.

Then, write down something you can apply to your life.

Then, read what I wrote:

 - Historical — As the people of Israel rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, they face mocking and threats from outside along with fatigue and doubts from their own people.

 - Doctrinal -– God is at work behind the scenes in events that some people would just attribute to human effort or random chance (see verses 14-15).

 - Inspirational — Remember that, when I am trying to build, I won’t be able to just focus on building; I’ll also need to devote attention to threats and obstacles: that’s the real world (see how their attention was divided in verses 16-18).
