Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html

First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.

Then, read Matthew 7.

Then, write down something you can apply to your life.

Then, read what I wrote:

 - Historical — Jesus concludes his “Sermon on the Mount” with a variety of subjects including hypocrisy, prayer, salvation, false prophets, and founding your life on God and God’s word.

 - Doctrinal — God really does want to answer our prayers like a good parent wants to answer his child’s requests (see verse 11).

Inspirational — Would I treat anyone differently if I thought about each interaction based on “The Golden Rule”? It’s in verse 12: “Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”
