Want to read the Bible with me today?

First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.

Then, read Leviticus 16.

Then, write down something you can apply to your life.

Then, read what I wrote:

 - Historical — The Lord gives Moses laws around how the high priest can enter the holiest room of the Tabernacle only one day a year on Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement, the holiest day of the Jewish year) with blood sacrificed to atone for all the people’s sins.

 - Doctrinal — Jesus is our “high priest” who entered God’s presence in the throne room of heaven, carrying his own blood as a sacrifice, atoning for sins and ending the need for any more blood sacrifices forever (see Hebrews 7:26-27, 9:11-14, and 9:23-27).

 - Inspirational — I owe everything to Jesus, who was my sacrifice for sins, whose blood was needed so I could be forgiven, who was my high priest who entered God’s presence with his own blood, and purchased my atonement from sins forever.
