Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html
First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.
Then, read Judges 2.
Then, write down something you can apply to your life.
Then, read what I wrote:
- Historical — Israel enters a “cycle of sin” after Joshua dies: (a) straying from God as their first love, (b) suffering the natural consequences of their sins, (c) crying out to God for help, (d) being delivered by a leader God raised up, and (e) repeating the cycle.
- Doctrinal — God disciplines those who forsake him by allowing them to be mastered by those who take advantage of them (verse 14).
- Inspirational — Am I working to make sure that the next generation (a) knows the Lord and (b) remembers what God has done (verse 10)?
