Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html
First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.
Then, read John 20.
Then, write down something you can apply to your life.
Then, read what I wrote:
- Historical — John records people that did not believe Jesus rose from the dead (instead believing that Jesus’ body was stolen!) but were convinced by Jesus Himself that He had risen: Mary Magdalene, the 10 apostles (without Judas Iscariot or “Doubling Thomas”), and “Doubting Thomas” himself.
- Doctrinal — This chapter shows that Jesus is alive and Jesus is God.
- Inspirational — I am one of those referred to in verse 29, because I believe Jesus is alive (based on the large amount of evidence we have, treating the Bible like any other historical document) yet not having seen Him alive myself (yet).
