Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html

First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.

Then, read John 17.

Then, write down something you can apply to your life.

Then, read what I wrote:

 - Historical — This chapter records “The Lord’s Prayer” that the Lord actually prayed with His disciples the night before His death: Jesus recounts what happened in His earthly ministry, recognizes the glory He was looking forward to upon His ascent, and prays for all future disciples to know God and God’s love in unity.

 - Doctrinal — This chapter gives insight to the love-filled relationship (complete with service and submission) found in the Trinity.

 - Inspirational — Help me remember to pray for the things on God’s heart (like unity and love of God’s people) even when facing suffering and misery myself (like Jesus facing the torture, humiliation, and the cross the next day).
