Want to read the Bible with me today? Here’s my 2016 plan: http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html

First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.

Then, read Job 13.

Then, write down something you can apply to your life.

Then, read what I wrote:

 - Historical — Job responds to the 1st round of speeches by his 3 friends by saying (a) their arguments on behalf of God are worthless and (b) Job wants God to show him what he’s done wrong.

 - Doctrinal — From verses 24 and 27, we see Job is a prophetic picture of Christ on the cross: both are men who felt they did nothing wrong, were suffering for it, and felt God turned His back on them.

 - Inspirational — From verse 15, I am reminded that sometimes the wisest thing I can do is remain silent.
