Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html

First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.

Then, read Esther 4.

Then, write down something you can apply to your life.

Then, read what I wrote:

 - Historical — Mordecai mourns and prays over the threat from Hamon, Esther tries to comfort him, then resolves to pray three days and risk her life by approaching the king without being summoned.

 - Doctrinal — The three days and three nights of desperate prayer by Esther and the Jews foreshadowed the three days and three nights Jesus was in the grave (verse 16).

 - Inspirational — If I face a similar situation of courage in the face of death, may I have the faith of Esther: “If I die, I die” (verse 16).
