First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.
Then, read Acts 20.
Then, write down something you can apply to your life.
Then, read what I wrote:
– Historical — This chapter records the latter half of Paul’s third missionary journey: his time in Greece, his ministry at Troas (where he preached a guy to death and raised him from the dead!), and farewell speech to the leaders of the church at Ephesus (his final words to them).
– Doctrinal — God uses three things to protect us and build us up: Himself, His Word, and the local church (see verse 32).
– Inspirational — God? I aspire to think, like Paul, that my life is meaningless unless I accomplish the work you’ve made me to do: sharing and living the gospel (see verse 24).
