Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html

First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.

Then, read 2 Samuel 15.

Then, write down something you can apply to your life.

Then, read what I wrote:

 - Historical — David’s son Absalom steals the hearts of the people and leads a coup, causing King David to flee for his life.

-Doctrinal — God encourages us to pray for Him to work when we have no power to make things right (for example, as in verse 31, to ask God to help wise people make foolish decisions, when they are in the wrong).

 - Inspirational — God? May I accept your decisions for my life and lay my life in Your hands, even when what I want is different (see verses 25-26).
