Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html
First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.
Then, read 2 Kings 22.
Then, write down something you can apply to your life.
Then, read what I wrote:
- Historical — Josiah becomes king at 8, starts a Temple renovation project at 18 and discovers a Bible, and humbles himself before God because he believes the Bible reveals God’s anger toward Israel’s disobedience.
- Doctrinal — God designed the Bible to be a vital tool for us to understand what pleases and displeases Him (see verse 13).
- Inspirational — God? Help me be like Josiah who, at the age of 18, maintained a tender heart toward You, took God’s word seriously and personally, and humbled himself before You (see verses 18-19).
