Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html

First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.

Then, read 2 Chronicles 12.

Then, write down something you can apply to your life.

Then, read what I wrote:

 - Historical — King Reheboam doesn’t “prepare his heart to seek the Lord” (see verse 14), God sends Shishak of Egypt to judge him and his people, and Reheboam avoids total loss by deciding to humble himself before God.

 - Doctrinal — God is willing to use people who don’t follow Him (like Shishak) to, unknowingly, be an instrument of discipline for those who do (like Reheboam).

 - Inspirational — God? Nothing is more important than my heart for You. Help me “prepare my heart” daily to seek You, as verse 14 says.
