Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html
First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.
Then, read 1 Samuel 3.
Then, write down something you can apply to your life.
Then, read what I wrote:
- Historical — God speaks to the young boy Samuel repeatedly but Samuel doesn’t know how to recognize God’s voice until Eli teaches him.
- Doctrinal — God does speak to people even when they don’t know yet how to recognize His voice.
- Inspirational — God? I pray that You would empower me to have all three characteristics of Samuel in verse 19: (a) A lifelong learner — “So Samuel grew…” (b) A person with Your presence — “…and the LORD was with him…” (c) A love for the details of the Bible — “…and let none of his words fall to the ground.”
