Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html

First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.

Then, read 1 Samuel 25.

Then, write down something you can apply to your life.

Then, read what I wrote:

 - Historical — Nabal disrespects David and his request for food after David protected Nabal’s flocks, David sets out to take revenge, but Nabal’s wise wife Abigail stops David by bringing food and calm advise.

 - Doctrinal — Abigail pictures Christ’s sacrifice for our sins when she asks to take her husband’s sins on herself (see verse 24).

 - Inspirational — Dear God, may you bring people to me when I need help avoiding the mistake of wanting to take revenge (see verse 26).
