Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html
First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.
Then, read 1 Samuel 14.
Then, write down something you can apply to your life.
Then, read what I wrote:
- Historical — Jonathan attacks up a cliff against a Philistine garrison with just his armor-bearer to help, then the people prevent his father King Saul from killing him over inadvertently breaking his father's foolish vow.
- Doctrinal — God's power is not limited by whether we have many or few on our side (verse 6).
- Inspirational — God? Are there any risks you want me to take to see You save many more people (verse 23)? And are there any parameters I have established as a leader which are distressing to our people (verse 24)?
