Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html
First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.
Then, read 1 Samuel 13.
Then, write down something you can apply to your life.
Then, read what I wrote:
- Historical — Saul begins warring against the Philistines then foolishly offers a sacrifice which only Samuel could offer (justifying his decision as necessary because Israel was scattering).
- Doctrinal — God looks for people after His own heart who will follow Him no matter what circumstance arises (verse 14).
- Inspirational — God? I wouldn’t be so presumptuous as to think I’m “a man after God’s own heart”: but I’d like to pray that You make me one (verse 14).
