Want to read the Bible with me today? http://www.timhowey.com/2016/01/my-bible-reading-2016.html
First, ask God to see something you can apply to your life.
Then, read 1 Kings 10.
Then, write down something you can apply to your life.
Then, read what I wrote:
- Historical — People around the world (including the Queen of Sheba) seek King Solomon for his wisdom and God blesses his kingdom to unprecedented levels.
- Doctrinal — King Solomon’s kingdom foreshadows Jesus’ coming kingdom: seeking his wisdom (verse 24) and making a precious metal as abundant as pavement (silver for Solomon and gold someday for Jesus).
- Inspirational — May I live out 1 Peter 3:15 like Solomon pictures in this chapter: being ready always to give an informed and reasonable answer to people as to why I believe what I believe.
