What am I praying for today? There are three things that are foremost on my heart.
If you’d take a few moments right now (before you leave the page) and & pray with me for these things, I would be so, so grateful.
1. Easter (Sunday April 8). God is putting the finishing touches on a service that, I fully believe, will touch everyone with the last days of Jesus…from the person with little or no spiritual life to the most fully-devoted follower of Christ. We are calling it The Centerpiece. Our team is preparing a humorous drama to introduce the concepts. We’re also opening up some space for visitors from the community by adding an extra service and adjusting our service times — to 8:30a, 10:00a, 11:30a. My biggest prayer is for personal invitations — the #1 way our church impacts others is through our people personally inviting them on the journey.
2. Small Groups. I’m praying God continues to help us fulfill the vision He has given us — that every person would be connected in a healthy small group — a small group that helps people live life better & serves as a friendship and spiritual growth incubator.
3. Ultimate Investment (Sunday April 1 & May 6).
As I wrote in a detailed letter to our church family, we’re approaching the conclusion of our 3-year journey of faith to build our facility. I’m praying God works in people’s hearts to provide the financial goal we are
trusting God together for our facility. The pledges (by April 1) and provision (by May
6) would be a huge blessing ministerially.
