We hosted our couples small group tonight and I just have to say: "I love my small groups!"
I meet with a group of men on Wednesday morning at an area breakfast restaurant. They are my "band of brothers." We wake up together, drink coffee, laugh, talk about life in the real world, pray for each other’s biggest needs, and study through the Bible (we’re about to finish the book of Colossians). We’re part of the men’s ministry at Grace, led by Tom Herzog. You have to check out the monthly Journey event at Grace, too.
My family also meets with a mixed couples and singles group every other week. While the adults study Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University upstairs, our kids have a blast in one of our basements. They destroy the area "in-Jesus’-name." 🙂 We just finished week 3 in the series and already the biblical money management principles are helping each family. (One night a month, our couples take turns watching all the kids so the
other couples can have a "date night"…a great investment!)
I am so thankful for the men, women, and children which are committed to growing spiritually with God and each other. I love them, and love taking the journey together.
If you don’t have a small group, I encourage you to find one.
