This session was an interview with Catherine Rohr of the Prison Entrepreneurship Program called, "Risk Taking, Barrier Breaking, & Bold Leadership."
What a fireball & an inspiring story (at 31)! She just became a Christian at 25. My
"1 Big Take-Away" from this session was this thought…
"Why are people amazed with my story (of giving up a $200k/yr job in NY to help transform drug/gang leaders into productive business entrepreneurs in society)? We all sing, 'I'll give you everything Jesus!' Just pray & ask God to 'Bring it on!' and God will use you.'"
fantastic stuff! i blogged about her too. what an amazing instrument of grace and what an awesome organization to mobilize the down and out!
Isn’t that something, people amazed at others helping people that most of society has written off. And her salary was the guiding point.
My God says anyone can come to the Father through Jesus Christ, so there is always hope if the people in trouble will reach up for that help.
And how can they reach out for help if nobody is willing to be there for them. She was amazing and a fine example of someone willing to trade all her worldly possessions to help others and spread the gospel.
I was blessed just by being able to sit there and here her speak.
