I read through the Bible on a daily basis.  (I actually shoot for 6 days a week and take a break on Sunday.)

I use a spiral-bound notebook to journal.  For each entry, I note the date, which section I read, and any observations, questions, action-items, and prayers that come to mind while I’m spending time alone with God.

I thought I’d share what I wrote after I finished reading today.  Here it is, unedited:

Dear Lord,

9:24 is my "take-away" today.  How often have I gloried in my wisdom, or might, or riches?  The only redeeming quality, the one reason to glory, is knowing You.

  • that You are Jehovah (the "I am")
  • that you exercise and delight in:
  • lovingkindness (nice)
  • judgment (fair)
  • righteousness (good)

You are all those & more, Lord.  I love You & glory in knowing You, the one, true, eternal God.
